Frequently Asked Questions Regarding Enrollment

What grade should I apply for based on my child's age?

Infant 3 – 14 months

Toddler 15 months – 2 years 9 months

Pre-K 2 years 9 months – 4 years

K0 3 years by September 1st of given school year

K1 4 years by September 1st of given school year

K2 5 years by September 1st of given school year

Is there an application fee?

No, we do not require an application fee. However, there is a fee of $45 to apply for financial aid. If this fee would be a barrier for your family, please reach out, as we are happy to make arrangements.

How are applicants evaluated?

Older elementary applicants (1st – 6th grade) are evaluated based on their report card, teacher recommendation, and MAP or standardized test scores.

There is no formal pre-screening process for younger scholars (infant – K2). For prospective scholars currently enrolled in a daycare program, any progress report your provider can share will be helpful. Mission Grammar offers a form for the provider to complete with these relevant observations.

What documents are required for enrollment?

In completing the enrollment packet, you will be asked to submit a copy of your child’s most recent physical, immunization records, any IEP or 504 plan materials (if applicable), and a finalized tuition agreement. This is required of ALL families seeking enrollment.

For the financial aid application, you will need to present a copy of your most recent tax forms, both your 1040 and W2.

Can Mission Grammar accommodate my child's IEP or 504 plan?
