Community Partnerships

We partner with a number of community resources to enhance our ability to serve scholars and families. Read about each of our partnerships below.

Emmanuel College

Emmanuel is a close neighbor to Mission Grammar and a long-time partner supporting our school over the last several decades. This partnership has included access to resources and campus space, further illustrating our college going culture.  Each year we host around 200 Emmanuel students on campus as volunteers, student teachers, masters students and more.

The Lynch Foundation

Nearly two and a half decades ago, the Lynch Foundation expressed interest in an Early Childhood project for Catholic Schools.  Mission Grammar was the first to open a Lynch Foundation supported preschool classroom. This partnership has brought tremendous quality to our Early Childhood program and enabled us to grow from one PreK classroom to ten Early Childhood classrooms enrolling children at 3 months old. In addition to Early Childhood, the Lynch Foundation continues to connect us with highest quality learning opportunities for our leaders and educators including the Lynch Leadership Academy.

The Catholic Schools Foundation

The Catholic Schools Foundation provides direct scholarship support to our K2- Grade 6 scholars. 90% of our scholars receive some type of financial aid. We are so grateful to the Catholic Schools Foundation for truly working to make a Catholic education possible for all! The CSF supports our Catholic Urban Partnership with Cathedral High School forming a PreK-12 Catholic Urban Pathway to college!

City Connects

Boston College’s City Connects model allows us to holistically assess every scholar’s strengths and needs in the domains of family, academic, health, social/emotional/behavioral. As part of this model, the Whole Class Review allows for each scholar to be discussed and assessed in each domain. As a result of the Whole Class Review, scholars are tiered based on their needs and strengths which determines the level of needed intervention and support. Individual Student Reviews take place during our weekly Student Support Team meeting.

Brigham & Women's Hospital

Another fantastic neighbor, Brigham and Womens has a strong commitment to Equity in Health and runs various programs including Pen Pals, Book Buddies and Science Club.  Additionally, some of our scholars interested in health careers go on to intern at the Hospital.

Mission Hill Main Streets

We are grateful to participate in the community efforts of Mission Hill Main Streets. This organization connects us to local business and other institutions, keeping our Mission Hill community thriving and serving as a direct line to city-wide matters.

Community Music Center of Boston

Community Music Center of Boston (CMCB) is an arts education nonprofit founded in 1910, with a mission to transform lives by providing equitable access to excellent music education and arts experiences. At Mission Grammar, CMCB supports rigorous, relevant, and culturally-inclusive musical instruction for elementary scholars.

Boston College PULSE Program

Mission Grammar is proud to be a PULSE Program partner.  The mission of the PULSE Program is to educate BC’s students about social injustice by putting them into direct contact with marginalized populations and social change organizations and by encouraging discussion on classic and contemporary works of philosophy and theology.

Massachusetts College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences (MCPHS)

Mission Grammar partners with MSPHS to provide health education and wellness initiatives for our school community. Their “Give Kids a Smile” provides free dental cleanings for our scholars.
